Take a look at this great video produced by Chris Nafis of the Vischer Ferry Cemetery Association in Rexford, New York, featuring some of our GPR and UAV work to delineate burials within the confines of the cemetery. This was a great project for a really interesting area in New York, situated on the Mohawk River at the intersection of Native American, Dutch, and English relations from the 17th century to the present. Early maps of the cemetery indicate that workers associated with the construction of the Erie Canal may have been buried in this cemetery, and we found good evidence to support the presence of interments and a large pit or mass interment in the transient section of the cemetery!
