Dr. Leslie has over 15 years of geoarchaeological experience, completing over one hundred investigations under all phases of Section 106 work throughout the greater Northeast. He is also the Director of Archaeological Research at Heritage Consultants, as well as a Research Scientist in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut and the President of the Archaeological Society of Connecticut. Dr. Leslie also actively participates on various boards of regional archaeological societies, including the Conference on New England Archaeology and Eastern State Archaeological Federation, and serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Northeast Anthropology.

Mr. Givens has over eight years of experience in geophysics and over 30 years of expertise in Historical Archaeology in the Chesapeake region. Before joining TerraSearch, he served as Director of Archaeology at Jamestown, overseeing the excavation of English America’s first permanent settlement. Mr. Givens has co-authored and published numerous topics on Jamestown and Colonial America and his recent works include Angela: Jamestown and the First Africans (2022), Church & State: The Archaeology of the Foundations of Democracy (2020), 1619 – 2019: Democracy, Diversity, Discovery (2019), Holy Ground: Archaeology, Religion, and the First Founders of Jamestown (2016), and Jane: Starvation, Cannibalism, and Endurance at Jamestown (2013).

Mr. George has over 30 years of archaeological experience, completing hundreds of investigations under all phases of Section 106 work throughout the United States. He is also the President and owner of Heritage Consultants, and brings a wealth of cultural resource management knowledge and experience to bear on all of TerraSearch's work.
